The original Jurassic Park would go on to become one of the highest grossing movies of all time. Following the movie’s success the author Michael Crichton then wrote a follow-up book called The Lost World: Jurassic Park. Then in 1997 a film adaptation was made. How does this one hold up when compared to the original?

Next month Jurassic World hits cinemas in the UK and I can’t wait to see it. So in preparation I’m taking a look back at the Jurassic Park trilogy and will review all three movies, starting with the first. This movie was a very big deal when it first came out, but how does it hold up today? Well let’s find out.

When my friend Mike informed me about going to Slam Dunk Festival I then found out that it was in Wolverhampton. Needless to say I got myself a ticket and so did he. The lineup for me looked good with a few familiar faces and other bands who I haven’t heard much of but heard good things about. So how was the event overall and what did I get up to?

On March 21st 2015 MCM Comic Con came to Birmingham, and the Spectrum Club had a group trip there on the Saturday. I went there in 2013 but didn’t go in 2014 to save my money. However this year I decided to go again. So how was it and what did I get up to there?

Placebo, again? Well if you remembered the last time I reviewed Placebo in Birmingham I said they were very good live, so when my Dad got a couple of tickets for Christmas I wasn’t going to pass up seeing them again. At this point it’s become harder for them to impress me which they’ve already done in the past, but was it still a good show?

When one of my mates told me he was seeing Enter Shikari play at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall I was excited to find out that it was on my Birthday as well. So I decided “What the Hell” get myself a ticket for a Birthday treat, as I remembered seeing Enter Shikari at Download 2013 and enjoying them there. They recently released a new album this year ‘The Mindsweep’. So how was the event?

Aside from the classic Mega Man series the only other sub series I’ve really gotten into is the Mega Man X series. With a futuristic look, darker themes and fast flowing action this felt like an evolution for the series. So I am now going to rank the main 8 games (I’m not including Command Mission) in order from my least favourite to favourite. Bear in mind I haven’t beaten all of these games as this series is WAY harder than the classic series, but they will still be ranked on how I enjoyed them from what I played.

Well as another year ends I can look back on all the movies I saw this year and rank my 10 favourites. Now keep in mind that this year I haven’t been able to go the cinemas as much since I went to Uni, so I may not have seen every movie worthy for this list. Also these are just my opinions, the type of movies that I like. Got a problem with that? Well I suggest going to another list as it will be different. So now let’s get to my top 10 favourite movies of 2014.

Of all the internet celebrities out there my personal favourite is James Rolfe. Amongst the many other things he’s done like Cinemassacre’s Monster Madness, Board James and You Know What’s Bullshit, the series that made him most famous was undoubtedly The Angry Video Game Nerd, where he relives the frustrating games from his youth. Over the years many people have been making games based off him and his reviews, the most recent of which being Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures developed by FreakZone Games. A game which gives the player a first hand experience of what it’s like to be The Nerd. It’s gonna take you back to the past, but is this a shitty game that sucks ass?

As soon as my mate Jack found out The Pretty Reckless were doing a tour of the UK he didn’t hesitate but to get two tickets for me and him. Considering that I missed them at this year’s Download festival and Jack said they were really good I thought I’d check them out. So I got their Going to Hell album in preparation and got used to most of those songs, but how was their show?
