In my Worst to Best of Megadrive Sonic games I mentioned that sometime I would also do the 3D Sonic games. Well here now is my Worst to Best of all the main series 3D Sonic Adventures. I feel I should warn you, some opinions here may be a tad controversial (then again anything involving Sonic would be) but these are just my opinions, so please try and respect them.

Also a quick little disclaimer. DracoJames102 is at some point thinking of reviewing some of these games and his opinion may very much differ from mine (Might’ve saved myself a few dozen comments just by mentioning that).

Greetings mortals, I am DracoJames102 and I am here to give you a review. Sonic Boom Title Card lighting

I never thought that this game would be the first Wii U title I would review, but I wanted to review this game at some point or another so let’s get on with it. This game is considered a prequel to the new Sonic Boom television show that aired in October 2014. The game was developed by Western Developers Big Red Button (which consist of a few former employees from Naughty Dog who made Crash Bandicoot, Jak and Daxter and the Last of Us). Now Webmaster Tom actually borrowed the game from me for a while and played it, so I figured since we are both long time Sonic fans he could voice his opinions of the game along with me. But before we get into the game itself, let’s talk about what we thought of the game before it came out and what sparked our curiosity to play it.

Sonic 4 Episode 2 Title Card

Episode 2 of Sonic 4 came out in 2012, just a few months after Sonic Generations came out. After the taste of Episode 1 started to grow bitter for me, I was hoping Episode 2 would improve upon where Episode 1 failed, especially after I enjoyed Sonic Generations so much. Does it? Let’s dive in.

Greetings mortals, I am DracoJames102 and I am here to give you a review.

Sonic 4 Episode 1 Title Card

When Sonic 4 was released in 2010 for Xbox Live and PSN, I was pretty eager to play it being the Sonic fan that I am. Back when I first beat it, I thought it was pretty good. But over the years, I’ve played the classic series more and more and my opinions on this game have really changed. Are they good or are they bad? Let’s find out how this sequel stacks up to the classics.

So you’ve seen my 10 favourite Sonic stages, but what about those stages that I hate? Well this list showcases the levels that I try to avoid outside mandatory playthroughs. Same rules as before apply, one entry per game, and you might see a lot of good games here, because a bad level plaguing a good game always sticks out more. Besides if the game’s already bad then you usually don’t need the levels to tell you that. So without further ado lets race (or rather slump) through these infernal Sonic Stages.

If you know me by now then you’ll know that the Sonic the Hedgehog series is my all-time favourite video game series. I’m a huge fan of both the 2D and 3D games (some I probably like a bit more than I should). So what makes these games great? Well one strong aspect would be in the level design. So this list shows my ten favourite levels throughout the series. I will only include one level per game and I won’t count Sonic Generations levels as they’re based off levels that already exist, and that would be kinda cheap to include more than one level based off the same game. So without further ado Here We Go!

Greetings mortals, I am DracoJames102 and it is time to wrap up the Sonic the Hedgehog marathon.

Some of you may be wondering why I split this review into two parts. Six months after Sonic the Hedgehog was released, a game called Sonic and Knuckles was released which is probably one of the bulkiest game cartridges you will ever see. What you may not know is that Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles was meant to be one game which contained the biggest Sonic adventure at the time, but there was problems in the development process such as time constraints so the game was sliced in half. That is why I split this review into two parts. I wanted to review Sonic 3 in its purest form. So without further delay, let’s review the second half of Sonic 3, Sonic and Knuckles.
