As many of you may know by now I love my rock music. Whether it’s headbanging whilst in the car, playing my guitar or going to a good old gig it’s a big part of my life. So I thought I’d do a top 10 of my favourite songs from a certain artist, starting with my Favourite band Avenged Sevenfold. They have a lot of great songs that span the course of over 10 years, so picking just 10 is difficult. But after narrowing it down here are the 10 songs I like the most by them.

Download festival 2014. I was looking forward to this for so long. We’ve had past experience, there were more people coming and the three headliners did not disappoint. But how was the weekend as a whole?

As you may know by now Avenged Sevenfold are headlining Download Festival this year, which is awesome. So in honour of the occasion I thought I’d review an Avenged Sevenfold album. I already talked about their Hail to the King album, but now I’m looking at what a lot of fans and critics consider their best album yet, City of Evil, released in 2005. So the big question is how does this album hold up?

When I heard Avenged Sevenfold were touring the UK I was excited. The last time they were over here was at Download 2011 when they opened for System of a Down. Now with the release of their number 1 album Hail to the King they did a whole European tour which ended in Birmingham, the one I went to see with Jimmy and his Dad.

Californian hard rockers Avenged Sevenfold have quickly become one of my favourite bands. Their riffs are wicked, M Shadows has a great voice and it’s the kind of music that’s easy to get into. 2010s Nightmare album was quite a personal album to them after their original drummer Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan died so a lot of their songs were more sombre and reflecting on death. With their latest album Hail to the King the band says they’re now having fun again. How does this compare to their other albums though?
