Archive for September, 2013

As many of you may know by now I’m a huge rock music fan and I love going to gigs. One of my favourite modern bands at the moment would be the Tennessee pop punks Paramore. On the 23rd of September they came to the LG Arena in Birmingham as part of their self-titled tour, and me Jimmy and Kayleigh went to see them. How was it you may ask? Well read on to find out.

Greetings mortals, I am DracoJames102 and I was at Alcon 2013.

This year I went to what’s so far the greatest convention I have ever been to. I have gotten a lot of awesome stuff and met a lot of the awesome special guests there such as Brentalfloss, Kyle Hebert, Little Kuriboh and the Abridgers, Filmbrain, MikeJ, Welshy, Bennet the Sage and Doug Walker.

At the end of this video, I discuss what I have planned for the website I review for. I do mumble a bit here so I apologize if I come off as an idiot.

Here is the link to a fund raiser to get the Abridgers back to next year’s Alcon:…

F-Zero Review

Greetings mortals, I am DracoJames102 and I am here to give you a review.

As far as I am aware, many people say that the ‘Super Nintendo Entertainment System’ (or SNES for short)  is one of the best consoles ever made. Personally I agree with them. Now granted I never owned a SNES in my younger years as I was born in 1992, one year too late for when the SNES came out. But I have been playing some games for the SNES on the ‘Nintendo Wii’s virtual console and I am enjoying every second of playing them, some I even consider to be my all time favourite games. Today we are going to look at one of the launch titles for the SNES. This is my review of ‘F-Zero’.

Crash Bandicoot Review

Greetings mortals, I am DracoJames102 and I am here to give you a review.

Back when ‘Nintendo’ was ruling the video game industry, a lot of companies were trying to compete with them. One of them that managed to do pretty successfully was ‘Sony’ who created the ‘Playstation’ console which came out in 1994 which was also around the time that the ‘Nintendo 64’ came out. In order to compete with ‘Nintendo’s franchises such as ‘Super Mario Bros.’ and ‘The Legend of Zelda’, the ‘Playstation’ also had to have its own set of game franchises. Today we are going to look at the very first game of one of the classic franchises that made the ‘Playstation’ popular. This is my review of ‘Crash Bandicoot’.

Metroid Review

Greetings mortals, I am DracoJames102 and I am here to give you a review.

I will admit that I missed out on a lot of video game series as a kid (haven’t we all?). I was the kind of person that was afraid to try new things either because I was too afraid or because I didn’t have any interest. It wasn’t until I saw a video review of ‘Metroid Prime’ for the ‘Nintendo Gamecube’ done by a reviewer called ‘SomecallmeJohnny’ that I decided to play the game for myself. I got the game for Christmas 2011 and I had such a blast with it that I decided to try out the other game series that I missed out on as a kid such as ‘Castlevania’, ‘The Legend of Zelda’, ‘Mega Man’, ‘Ratchet and Clank’ and a few others. So yeah I guess I can thank ‘Metroid’ for getting me into a lot of game series. I really like the ‘Metroid’ series so much and I am looking very much forward to review one particular game in the series, but before I get to it I want to review the games that came out before it. For this review I am going to review the very first game in the series that was released for the ‘N.E.S’ in 1986. This is my review of ‘Metroid’.

Since 2006 when the band Bring me the Horizon first came out they have established themselves as one of Britain’s biggest post hardcore bands alongside Enter Shikari and have become well known for doing good live performances getting main stage billings at popular festivals such as Reading and Leeds and even a headline slot at last years Warped Tour UK. The album of theirs I’m going to be looking at is their fourth studio album Sempiternal released in 2013.

So we recently moved into our new building where we’ll be holding our club, and on Friday we had our first games night there. How did it go? Did our new building benefit the games night?

Greetings mortals, I am DracoJames102 and I am back from Alcon 2013. I am depressed that the con is over but nevertheless it was fantastic. I got to meet most of the special guests there including brentalfloss, Kyle Herbert, LittleKuriboh, Filmbrain, MikeJ, Bennet the Sage, Welshy and Doug Walker. All of these guests were really nice and super awesome and I am so glad I had the pleasure of meeting them.

I am in the midst of making a video of Alcon 2013 for this blog to show you just how awesome this con was, so keep an eye out for it and take care.

Greetings mortals. I am DracoJames102 and I am here to give you a review.

Today I am going to review a game based on one the most popular franchises of the modern age, ‘Harry Potter’. Now I myself am an average ‘Harry Potter’ fan. In fact my sister is a massive fan of the ‘Harry Potter franchise. I listened to the audio taped versions of the books narrated by Stephen Fry when I was in middle school. I did watch all of the movies and I think that they are awesome. This summer I went to ‘Universal Studios’ in Orlando Florida and checked out the new ‘Harry Potter’ section of the park. It had a lot of great things there. It had a great ‘Diagon Alley’ section where you could shop for ‘Harry Potter’ souvenirs, including ‘Hogwarts’ robes and your own wizard wand (which I got by the way along with a Hungarian Horntail). It even had this awesome simulation ride where you can travel with ‘Harry Potter’ throughout ‘Hogwarts’. If you ever plan on going to ‘Universal Studios’, I definitely recommend this section of the park to everybody.
